“Jing Shan Aesthetics” originally published by “Xia Jing Shan Art and Culture Foundation” mainly introduces events organized by the Foundation, life stories of Master Xia Jing Shan, and summaries of papers presented at conferences (workshops) held by the Foundation to enable readers to initially read and appreciate Master Xia’s works. In order to comprehensively research Master Xia’s works, establish theoretical foundation of “Xia Jing Shan Studies,” and present literatures in “Jing Shan Aesthetics,” the Foundation especially publishes “Xia Jing Shan Art Journal” to call for papers under different themes in every issues and to invite scholars and experts in the art circle and academia to conduct in-depth discussion of Master Xia’s life stories, Buddhist paintings, calligraphy art, seal carving, and artistic aesthetics. We are providing you a journal with rich contents and academic insights. The theme of this issue is “Master Xia Jing Shan: The Master, His Stories, and His Paintings.
